We've just had our wedding photos back and they've made me feel all the emotions all over again! Dave has done a beautiful job of capturing our day. Somehow he has managed to capture many little moments and details that passed me by on the day - I love Dave's style of photography for that reason! Not only have we got some beautiful pics to blow up big and put on the wall, we've also got a whole insight into our day that we'll always be able to look back on and chat about. From the minute Dave arrived on the morning of the wedding, he was a pleasure to have around, a very calming influence on a crazy day! And he knows exactly what he's looking for and, if needed, he will direct accordingly. But most of the time you don't know he's there and you get these wonderful photos out if it! I really couldn't recommend him highly enough.
We would 10000% recommend you book Dave as your wedding photographer. On the lead up to the wedding he was always on hand to answer any questions we had. He worked around the timings that worked for us on the day and his calm, professional manner kept us so relaxed. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, as well as making the whole experience great fun. No ego, no stress…just a genuine guy who is incredibly good at what he does. Thank you for capturing all of our different emotions throughout the day, we will treasure the photos forever. I was only going to pick two to post but I couldn’t choose!
5 stars aren't enough! Dave was truly incredible at photographing our wedding. He was full of energy all day - I don't think you could find a more passionate photographer. This is reflected in our photos which are exactly as we'd hoped - candid pictures which portray the raw emotions perfectly. Dave worked hard to ensure our final pictures were ready on return from our honeymoon; turnaround time was around 4 weeks. These were edited to a high standard and Dave's communication was great, even allowing us to choose which edits we preferred. We feel very lucky to have had you photograph our wedding. The future is looking very bright for you and we know you will go far beyond Salisbury! A true professional who we now consider a friend, thanks again Dave for all your hard work.
You must choose Dave as your wedding photographer! You will not be dissapointed! Before the wedding, Dave showed us his portfolio and gave us some great ideas for the photos. He also explained about how he backs up all the photos by using several batteries, memory cards and having two photos, to ensure nothing can go wrong on your soecial day! On the day he made us feel incredibly relaxed, with even more ideas for great shots. He has a very casual style of shooting, which really puts you at ease. Dave is a lovely professional photographer, he’s very diverse and is willing to go the extra mile to get that perfect shot. We chose Dave because I hate posing photos (they make me cringe) and I'm so so happy that we found him. And as Hindu wedding their so much ritual to do as Dave first experience I wasn’t sure he will understand the depth of ritual and he will be able to capture all the little details of ceremonies When the day arrived I would say Choosing him as our photographers for our pre wedding ceremony and wedding photos was the best decision we made. He made the whole process enjoyable, natural, and FUN!! He is a joy to work with. In addition to his spunky and witty personalities, his work exceeded our expectations. I feel so unbelievably lucky to have come across Dave's portfolio and fell in love with his work straight away. Having Dave as our photographer was the best decision we made! Although he wasnt feeling well on the day (July 2022, so during the heatwave), he turned up on time and spent the whole day capturing our precious moments. He did not take a single break all day and worked his absolute butt off capturing the breath taking photos of us as well as our guests. I am THE most unphotogenic person but I love every single picture that we got back. The whole day flew by and I am so grateful to have the precious memories to look back on. I would recommend Dave to anyone . . . such a creative, hard working, lovely guy!
From the moment my now husband proposed, having David as our wedding photographer was a must for me. I had watched David as his portfolio grew and always thought his photos were absolutely stunning. The detail David is able to get into his pictures (when most of the time you are unaware he is even snapping away) is amazing and he certainly delivered for us! David’s whole approach is super fun yet at the same time extremely professional. He is fantastic with children and adults alike and knows exactly how to put people at ease get a great smile for the camera. For us he did an amazing job and we can’t fault him or his photography. What a legend!! Having Dave shoot our wedding was like having another guest! He and his assistant Istvan were phenomenol and took the most beautiful photos and were simultaneously there for every crucial moment and invisible. We chose Dave because of his eye for nature and bringing in surroundings into his work which was perfect for our venue at Rivervale Barn. His enthusiasm was contagious and he made everyone feel at ease and confident in front of his camera. We couldn't have asked for a better man for the job and got everything he promised and then some. What a pleasure it was to have dave as our photographer. He was amazing! Our pictures are just stunning. He completely gave us his full attention, not missing any important moments. I love how natural the pictures are and aren’t too staged. My partner is very camera shy but dave made him feel very comfortable. So many guests have commented on how fab dave was, he was there but not in anyone’s face allowing all the guests to relax and the most amazing pictures were captured! Where do we start, I spent a lot of time researching and trying to find the best photographer and boy did we! I’m normally not very good at having my photo taken and get very shy and awkward but there is something about David that is calming and trusting! He got us some absolute corkers and we love the photos and the slideshow! The collection is amazing and we can’t recommend him enough. Dave was able to capture truly magical moments not only between us as a couple, but also of our friends and family. He has such an amazing talent. It’s not the formal photos that remind us how great our day was but the natural fun and excitement that is so important to be documented which he delivered perfectly. We were bowled over when we recieved our wedding pictures. David was professional yet made us and all our guests feel at ease. He's captured some truly special moments which we cherish. I think the thing that stood out for us was the pictures he captured when we didn't even know he was there! A true stealth photographer, which is what we wanted and why we chose him. You spend months (sometimes years!) planning your wedding and once it's done, you only have the pictures (and memories) make sure they are memories which are worthy of your planning. Dave was our photographer for our wedding at the New House in the New Forest and we couldn’t have asked for a better man for the job! We received an abundance of beautiful, perfectly edited photos that we will cherish for a life time! He was very good at putting everyone at ease, myself included as I’m not very keen on having my photo taken, but he was very warm and encouraging and we’re so pleased we went with him! As any wedding planning couple would know, trying to find the right person to capture your special day can be a challenge. When we came across Sky Blue Wedding Photography online we were blown away with the portfolios. When we met with Dave his friendly nature and interesting background had us confident we were making the right choice. On the day he made us and our guests feel comfortable and this reflects in the photos from our album. I really cannot speak highly enough of Dave and his photography, neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. However, when I stumbled across Daves website and read about his more ‘natural’ approach to wedding photography, we decided to give Dave a call. Within moments of first meeting Dave I was not only bowled over by his stunning photos, but also warmed by what a thoroughly nice bloke he is! He understood exactly how we wanted the day captured. We chose Sky Blue Wedding Photography for our wedding and we couldn’t have chosen better! We both love photography so it was an important aspect for us on our special day. Dave has been a great support throughout the whole process, both before and after and particularly on the day. The photographs are everything we had always wanted and more and we have lost count of the amount of compliments we have received about them. We are so grateful that Dave was able to capture our horses and dogs so beautifully and also capture all of those ‘special’ and ‘intimate’ moments, without us even realising! WOW!! What can I say? So I let my new hubby pick our photographer for our wedding day, and what a great pick! We were first taken in by the beautiful photos on David’s page, we liked how they were natural and different from any other photographers but once meeting him, David seemed so down to earth and friendly, we knew we had found our photographer. He listened to what we wanted, as well as sharing his own experience and knowledge. David was brilliant on the day, he put us at ease, and made sure we were relaxed and happy throughout. He took the time to wander the grounds of our venue and familiarize himself with it, and find some beautiful spots for us. He even took the time to introduce himself to key members of the bridal party and immediate family. We are so glad we found him, he captured our day in the most perfect way, which we will treasure. Was really very pleased with our beautiful wedding photos. On the day, David was brilliant, really relaxed and put us at ease. As it was so cold being a December wedding, we weren’t keen to stand around for ages outside but David still managed to get some really amazing intimate shots as well as some superbly natural moments that really captured the atmosphere of the whole day. He was super low key and relaxed most people thought he was another guest! Having been to weddings where the photographer has tried to orchestrate the day we were really very glad that this was not David’s style at all. Stunning photos, brilliant on the day and great price.
